APPLICATION FOR CATECHETICAL MINISTRY

Thank you for your interest in the Catechetical Ministry of our parish. Please complete all sections of this application form. Personal data collected through this form will be processed in accordance with the Parish's Personal Data Protection Notice stated in Section F.

Who Can Apply?

All applicants are expected to:

• Be a practising Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church, whose lifestyle bears witness to the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.

• Be willing to learn, proclaim the Good News, and faithfully transmit the teachings of the Catholic Church.

• Meet the age, sacramental and formation requirements applicable to the role you are applying for.

• Enjoy serving and journeying with children and/or young people.

Applicants should also meet the following role-specific requirements:

1. Role: Catechist / Catechetical Assistant

Minimum Age: 19 years

Sacramental Requirements: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation

Additional Requirements:

• Meet the formation requirements prescribed by the OFC.

2. Role: Facilitators

Minimum Age: 19 years

Sacramental Requirements: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation

Additional Requirements:

• Meet the eligibility requirements applicable to Catechists / Catechetical Assistants.

• Be willing to facilitate small-group faith sharing and discussions.

• Be willing to complete the OFC's Learning to Listen and Facilitate (LLF) course, where required or recommended.

• Work under the guidance of the Catechetical Programme Coordinator.

3. Role: Junior Catechist

Minimum Age: 15-18 years

Sacramental Requirements: Baptism and Eucharist (and Confirmation, if already received)

Additional Requirements:

• Enjoy serving children and be willing to grow in faith formation under the guidance of the Catechetical Programme Coordinator and Catechists.

4. Role: Admin Support

Minimum Age: 21 years

Sacramental Requirements: None; Catholics who have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation are preferred, but non-Catholics may also apply.

Additional Requirements:

• Possess computer literacy (Microsoft Office related tools).

• Able to organise documents and maintain simple records.

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.

• Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

5. Role: Retreat Service Team Support

Minimum Age: 19 years

Sacramental Requirements: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation Additional Requirements:

• Enjoy working with children and youths and be willing to grow in faith formation under the guidance of the Catechetical Programme Coordinator and Catechists.

• Physically able to assist with simple setup and logistics (tables, chairs, materials, refreshments).

• Certified trained first aider is a plus
